8.1.2007 Conveyor Group Continues Growth IMPERIAL, Calif. – August 1, 2007 – Conveyor Group, Imperial Valley’s leading professional visual communications firm has moved to its new location in Imperial, continuing its growth and service to the Valley. Since its inception in 1997, Conveyor group has been located on Main Street in El Centro. The firm now moves into a custom designed, stand-alone building in Imperial’s expanding commercial corridor off of Aten Road. The new space includes an expanded design studio and conference facility; an audio/video editing and recording center; dedicated photo/video studio; expanded data center; and print production facilities, among a host of other unique accommodations. “We’re excited to open the doors to the new building,” said Aaron Popejoy, creative director/operations manager. “It’s been a long-time coming and it’s great to see all the work we’ve put into this completed. We’re very proud of the ‘nearly finished’ product.” With 10 years of committed local service in brand communications, strategic advertising, graphic design, and website development, Conveyor Group offers expanding full-service solutions to its clients’ communications needs. “We’re working with clients from all over the country now,” stated Popejoy. “It seems we’ve made a name for ourselves in both branding and web development,” he added. Conveyor Group is currently a team of nearly a dozen specialized professionals. As the advertising industry continues to change towards the integrated marketing communications model, encompassing advertising, marketing and public relations, Conveyor Group is adding to its arsenal of experience. Imperial Valley native, Melissa M. Lopez, joins the firm as client services manager/media specialist. “Melissa brings another element to Conveyor Group,” said Popejoy. “Her agency experience and client management background allows us to better serve our clients needs.” Lopez’ experience includes six years of public relations, marketing and advertising work. She returns to the Valley after three years as a senior account executive at a specialty integrated marketing communications agency. Her experience includes public relations management for Harley-Davidson Motor Company; WellPoint, Inc; the American Cancer Society, and advertising experience with the Los Angeles Department of Public Safety and the American Cancer Society. Prior to her senior account executive position Lopez held public relations positions with Manning Selvage and Lee, Orange County’s Pacific Symphony and Warner Bros. Consumer Products. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from California State University, Long Beach. Active at the university, she was editor and publisher of the Public Relations Student Society of America’s newsletter, competed as part of the school’s nationally recognized Bateman team and inducted in the national journalism honor society, Kappa Tau Alpha, as well as the Golden Key International Honor Society.
